Creative Support Programme
EARLY HELP FOR CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY
Private Support for Families
TARGETED SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN (AGE 5 - 11)
Creative, sensory-informed wellbeing support for primary school aged children. Sessions are booked directly by parents and carers, and are separate from school-commissioned provision.
What to Expect
SUPPORT OFFERED & STRUCTURE
Private sessions offer children a calm, structured space to explore emotions, build regulation skills and develop confidence through creative and sensory-informed activities.
Sessions follow a gentle, consistent structure designed to help children feel safe and settled.
Each session typically includes:
-
a calm welcome and check-in
-
creative expression such as drawing or story telling
-
simple sensory or grounding activities to support regulation
-
a clear and reassuring ending
Sessions are child-led and flexible, while remaining predictable and contained. We are committed to emotionally meeting and supporting the child, at their current internal state. Creative Support is a gentle, non-intrusive approach, where children are not pressured to talk, but supported at their own pace.

This support is a non-diagnostic and focused on emotional wellbeing rather than assessment or treatment.

CREATION
Creative & Artistic Expression
Children may use drawing and simple creative materials to express thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe and accessible, particularly when words are hard to find.

REGULATION
Sensory & Grounding Activities
Gentle, optimal movement or sensory-based activities may be used to help children notice and settle their bodies, supporting emotional regulation and a sense of calm.

RELAXATION
Imaginative Storytelling & Play
Imaginative social stories and guided creative play may be used to support emotional understanding, resilience and problem-solving, allowing children to reflect and learn at their own pace.
